The purpose of the Yellow Pine Volunteer Fire Department Inc is fire mitigation education, fire prevention, control and containment within the Yellow Pine Fire Protection District boundaries
The Yellow Pine Fire Protection District, a volunteer-based department serving a remote and high-risk wildland community, is actively working to reduce wildfire danger and improve emergency response capacity. Through ongoing Firewise efforts, we are leading community-wide vegetation cleanup projects that reduce hazardous fuels and defensible space risks. We also provide fire prevention education to residents and visitors, helping build a culture of preparedness in an area heavily impacted by seasonal recreation.
